I have always been obsessed with fashion, and it has been a dream of mine since I can remember to open a boutique. I worked in a boutique in college, and I learned early on how important customer service is, and I also noticed how often it can be lacking in the high fashion stores. I worked in the corporate world for about five years after college, and I hated every minute of having to dress in work clothes and sit in a cubicle all day!

I finally made the choice in January of 2008 to go back into retail, with the hopes of being able to own my own store one day. As fate would have it, I worked at the store next to Scout and Molly's and got to know the owner, Lisa.  I started working there on evenings and weekends to support my clothes habit.

One day Lisa said, 'I heard you want to open your own store...you know you can always open a Scout and Molly's!' It was the perfect situation for me. A boutique that was truly mine, but had the added benefit of a well-known name and reputation. I started to work full time at Scout and Molly's in Raleigh as I began the process of opening the store. We decided on Charlotte since we both grew up here and felt like the market in Charlotte could support another fabulous boutique.

In November I moved to Charlotte to work full time opening Scout and Molly's of Charlotte. Lisa and I both had the same inspiration for opening a boutique....we want everyone to feel at home when they walk in our stores. I can’t wait to see you in Scout and Molly’s of Charlotte!
